Part of my ongoing mission as an active performer and educator is fostering continual growth and creativity in younger generations of musician. I work with people of all ages, ranging anywhere from 5 all the way up through 75! It truly is never too late to dive headfirst into the world of music.
At St. John's Episcopal Church in West Hartford, I am a youth/choral educator for the choir school, teaching individual lessons and leading small group sessions once a month. I prepare the choir school kids for upcoming large events and teach them fundamental concepts connected to music theory, vocal technique, and choral practice. More importantly, though, is I'm a readily accessible resource for the choir school kiddos, who I've worked with extensively these last couple of years. If they need something and the music director can't get to it, I'm always there to help!
In my own private practice, I offer the option of virtual or in-home lessons. Some kids find it tough going into a studio--there's always a lot happening, it's a foreign environment, the list goes on. In-home lessons can be a great way to feel comfortable and still get into plenty of musical exploration! For older students I offer lessons that cover several different areas of interest, including songwriting, mixing/mastering, advanced music theory, and more. Every lesson is tailored to you, so let's make it happen!
